MONROE, La. – Sun Belt Conference rival Appalachian State tallied two runs in the top of the eighth inning to emerge with a 4-2 win over ULM on Saturday, March 16.
With the score knotted at 2-2 in the top of the eighth, App State (16-7, 5-0 SBC) pinch hitter Alison Durrence drew a leadoff walk before being replaced on the base pads by Caylie Kifer. After Jenny Dodd also walked, Haley Stewart reach on a field's choice, advancing Kifer to third. Pinch runner Laura Sales stole second before a walk to Sidney Russell loaded the bases.
