SAN MARCOS, Texas – Dalilah Barrera and Meagan King combined for a two-hit shutout as No. 4-seed Texas State defeated No. 8-seed ULM, 3-0, Wednesday night (May 8) in Game 4 of the 2019 Sun Belt Conference Softball Championship.
Barrera didn't allow a hit over 3.1 innings with four walks and four strikeouts. King (18-11), who pitched 3.2 scoreless innings of relief to pick up the victory, surrendered two hits to go along with two strikeouts.
The Warhawks went 1-for-11 with runners on, including 1-for-8 with runners in scoring position. ULM (12-41) loaded the bases with one out in the fourth but failed to score.
