GADSDEN, Ala. – The ULM men's golf team is in fifth place following the first two rounds of the Graeme McDowell Invitational Monday at RTJ Golf Trail at Silver Lakes.
The Warhawks shot 1-over-par 577 (293-284) in the first two rounds. Tournament host UAB leads the field at 18-under-par 558 (281-277).
Sophomore Cody Winkler leads ULM in 17th at even-par 144 (75-69). He carded three birdies and nine pars in the opening round before sinking five birdies and 11 pars in the second round. He is seven shots behind UAB's Nick Robillard and Charleston Southern's Ethan Willis who are tied for the lead at 7-under-par 137.
