CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa – The ULM men's golf team shot a 5-over-par 293 in the third and final round of the Golfweek Conference Challenge Tuesday, Sept. 19 to place eighth (302-284-293 – 879, +15) at the par-72 Cedar Rapids (Iowa) Country Club. N.C. State won the tournament with a 17-under-par 847 (274-286-287).
Freshman Max Catherine shot a 1-under-par 71 in the third round to climb five places into a tie for 16th in his collegiate debut, with a 54-hole score of 1-under-par 215 (75-69-71). Catherine converted four birdies during the final round and finished the tournament with a team-best 11.
