MONROE, La. – The University of Louisiana Monroe soccer team lost its fourth match of the season on Sunday at home against Southern Miss by a final score of 3-1.
“It's a rough start to the season, but we are playing some good opponents that will prepare us for our conference games,” ULM head coach Keyton Wheelock said.
While ULM managed to keep the score even at 0-0 going into halftime, Southern Miss found the back of the net three times in the second half.
After a ball got behind two ULM defenders, senior Beth Coleman shot across the net to put the Golden Eagles (3-0) up 1-0 in the 51st minute.
