MONROE, La. – The University of Louisiana Monroe volleyball team dropped its home opener to Stephen F. Austin in straight sets (25-18, 25-14, 25-17) Wednesday night (Aug. 30) at Fant-Ewing Coliseum.
“Right now, we have people going through the motions, and it doesn't work that way in this world,” ULM head coach Patrick Hiltz said.
SFA jumped out to an 8-2 lead in the first set, but the Warhawks pulled to within three at 17-14 on a kill by senior opposite Kalena Caruthers. The Lady Jacks (3-1) put together an 8-4 run down the stretch to win the opening frame, 25-18.
