MONROE, La. – The ULM women's basketball team (4-1, 0-0 Sun Belt) suffered defeat for the first time this season as they fell to Sam Houston State (4-1, 0-0 CUSA) 57-34. The Warhawks were held back by 36 turnovers over the course of the entire game.
Marcavia Shavers led the team with eight points and a season high 12 rebounds on a night where ULM did not have a single player reach double figures in points for the first time this season. Asjah Inniss and Keshunti Nichols finished closely behind with six points each.
