MONROE, La. – The ULM softball team is preparing for its final fall scrimmage on Thursday, October 16th, when they host Kilgore College. First pitch of the double-header is slated for 2:30 p.m. at the ULM softball complex.
"This team has so much potential," said first year head coach Molly Fichtner. "We've already seen so much growth, but we have a lot to learn still."
Fichtner and the 2018-19 squad have already played three double-headers this fall, defeating Bossier Parish Community College, Vernon College, and most recently Northeast Texas Community College.
"We have been focusing a lot of our practice time on the defense, perfecting our fielding and defending skills," Fichtner said.
