NACOGDOCHES, Texas – Stephen F. Austin scored all of its runs in the seventh and eighth innings to ultimately defeat ULM 6-2 on Tuesday night at Jaycees Field.
SFA (20-21) took the lead in the seventh inning. The Lumberjacks got on the board after a passed ball, then added a hit-by-pitch, two singles and a walk in the frame that made it a 4-2 margin. A leadoff homer in the eighth inning by Kyle Thornell padded their advantage.
Cade Stone led the game off with a two-strike hit-by-pitch, then Anthony Herrera followed with a single through the left side.
