Birmingham, Ala. – The ULM men’s and women’s track & field teams opened the 2017 Sun Belt Conference Indoor Championships on Monday, highlighted by Jemal Parharm’s winning performance in the men’s long jump.
NOTABLES
-In the men’s long jump, Jemal Parharm recorded a 7.47 meter jump to win the event. His first jump distance held up throughout the six rounds as he won by just .01 meters over Jamil Peeples from Arkansas State.
-In the men’s distance medley, the team of Brandon McDonald, Zach Kilpatrick, Martin Kipchirchir and Elias Keter finished with a time of 10:29.
