MONROE, La. – The sand was friendly to both Jemal Parharm Jr. and the beach volleyball pair of Delaney Driver and Kaitlyn Shearer as they were honored as Warhawk Male and Female of the Week winners, respectively, announced Tuesday.
Parharm, a junior from the track & field program,finished second in the long jump after he landed in the pebbles with a personal-record mark of 7.63m at the 2016 Nike Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays. The 7.63m ranks second in the Sun Belt Conference this season and it was the farthest jump by anyone in the league over the weekend.
