MONROE, La. – After Monday’s practice was cancelled due to lightning, the ULM football team returned to the practice field Tuesday afternoon after a morning filled with classrooms instead of team rooms as the Warhawks balanced class and practice for the first time this fall.
“It was a good day. It got a little slow towards the middle but picked up again at the end,” head coach Matt Viator stated. “All in all it was good out here today. It was the first hot day in a while too.”
The heat and humidity, which had been largely missing the last week of practice, returned to practice as well, with coaches and players joking and laughing about the sun as they opened the afternoon with stretching.
