COLLEGE GROVE, Tenn. – ULM senior Andoni Etchenique drained eight birdies, including one on the 18th hole, and is tied for the lead at 4-under-par while the Warhawk men's golf team is third after the first round of the Intercollegiate at The Grove.
Etchenique closed the first round at 4-under-par 68. He posted red numbers five times in a seven hole stretch on the front nine. He started with a birdie on the par-5 second hole, added birdies on the par-4 fourth and par-3 fifth and capped the run with birdies on the par-5 seventh and par-4 eighth.
