Davis throws 3 TDs, S Alabama beats Louisiana Monroe 33-23

MOBILE, Ala. -- Dallas Davis passed for 317 yards and a career-high three touchdowns, Xavier Johnson became South Alabama's career rushing leader and the Jaguars beat Louisiana Monroe 33-23 Saturday night.

Johnson, who needed 13 yards rushing to move past Kendall Hunter (2,587 from 2010-14) finished with 11 carries for 99 yards and a touchdown. Davis was 20-of-33 with one interception and Sam Harris had eight receptions for 141 yards and a score.

Davis completed 6 of 9 passes for all 80 of South Alabama's yards, including a 14-yard completion to Jamarius Way on third-and-10 and a 5-yard touchdown to Harris that gave the Jaguars a 24-20 lead with four seconds left in the first half.
