It was a great win for the ULM soccer team as they defeated the Nicholls State Colonels 1-0 in last Friday’s matchup. Goalkeeper Brooke Scroggins had an exceptional game posting the second shutout of her career.
Senior defenseman, Emely Portillo, also had great success controlling the tempo of the game with her aggressive style. Mia Walters had a solid game as well, recording three shots.
It was a defensive battle before the half as both teams failed to capitalize on their opportunities. You could see the frustration mounting on the coach and player’s faces as the first half came to an end.
