NEW ORLEANS – ULM senior Alton Clay, who placed in the top four in the hammer throw, shot put and discus at the 2018 Sun Belt Outdoor Championships, has been named the Men's Field Most Outstanding Performer, according to a vote conducted by the league's head coaches. Clay accounted for 19 of ULM's 61 points scored in the Sun Belt Outdoor Championships, held May 11-13 in San Marcos, Texas.
His 19 points also ranked fourth among all male competitors at the conference's outdoor championships.
