ULM announced on Thursday afternoon that John Hartwell, former athletics director of Troy University and Utah State University, will be the next director of athletics at ULM.
He served as athletics director at Troy from 2012 through 2015. He then joined Utah State in 2015 where he most recently served as the director of athletics.
Hartwell resigned as the athletics director at Utah State in November of 2022. Hartwell said he wanted to move his family to the South, where both he and his wife were born.
The university will hold a press conference with Hartwell on Monday, Jan.
