Big Innings Doom Warhawks; Second Game Suspended Due to Fog

Boone, N.C. - Appalachian State used two big innings, scoring five runs in the sixth inning and five more in the eighth, to rally past ULM on Saturday 10-8 in the first game of a scheduled doubleheader Saturday at Beaver Field at Smith Stadium. The second game was suspended when fog rolled in with ULM leading 3-1 in the top of the third inning.

The first game featured two rain delays and a 20-minute delay as umpires deliberated on an interference call.

ULM (15-20 overall, 5-9 Sun Belt) took the initial lead on back-to-back RBI doubles by Joey Jordan and Trent Tingelstad in the third inning to go up 2-0.
