HAMMOND, La. – The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns women's tennis team picked up a 5-2 victory at Southeastern on Saturday afternoon, improving to 3-1 for the first time since 2010.
"We were challenged today and I'm proud of the team for fighting back and sticking to their game plan," Ragin' Cajuns head coach Stephanie Vallejos said. "They played with good energy and stayed patient throughout the match. Most importantly, we never gave up and it made a difference in the big points."
After dropping the first doubles match, sophomore Abby Johnson and junior Alexandra Way knocked off Southeastern's Lucia Bustamante and Ceci Mercier, 7-5.
