LAFAYETTE – Senior Melissa Burckhartt, one of two seniors playing in her final home match, posted a straight-set victory in singles play and teamed with Kelly Drew for a 6-0 win at No. 1 doubles to help the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns women's tennis team clinch its first winning season in three years with a 4-0 win over LSU Alexandria on Wednesday at Cajun Courts.
Alexandra Way claimed a straight-set victory at No. 6 singles as Louisiana (11-9) recorded its first winning record since going 14-12 in 2013 before winning a combined 11 matches in the next two seasons.
