LAFAYETTE – The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns women's basketball team was unable to complete the season sweep over Little Rock, falling by a 58-49 final to the Trojans at the Cajundome Saturday afternoon.
The loss dropped the Cajuns to 16-7 and 9-5 in Sun Belt Conference play.
The Cajuns offense was limited to just 37.3% (19-of-51) shooting from the floor. Seniors Keke Veal (12) and Kia Wilridge (11) were the lone Louisiana players to hit double-digit points.
The two conference foes engaged in a defensive battle in the first quarter, combining for just 16 points (Little Rock led, 9-7).
