Jonesboro, Ark. – The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns scored 35 points in the fourth quarter on the way to defeating Arkansas State 80-72 on Saturday at the Convocation Center.
Louisiana (7-4, 1-1 SBC) picked up its first Sun Belt Conference win of the season behind 21 points from both Jaylyn Gordon and Jasmine Thomas while Simone Fields added 19 for the Cajuns.
Arkansas State (3-11, 1-1 SBC) trailed by as many as nine points in the second quarter, but outscored the Cajuns 19-9 in the third period to take a 53-45 lead at the end of the third frame.
