LAFAYETTE — As the No. 8 Ragin’ Cajuns roll into Statesboro, Georgia, for the first time, the Louisiana-Lafayette softball team will be catching heat on a couple of fronts.
Georgia Southern (28-22, 11-7 Sun Belt) is looking to solidify its standing as a contender in the conference tournament, which is just a couple of weeks away. The Cajuns (35-6, 16-1) have final exams waiting on the horizon next week.
Those obstacles await the Cajuns as they tangle with the Eagles for a doubleheader at noon Saturday and a single-game finale at noon Sunday.
