TULSA, Okla. – D'Angelo Brewer rushed for 262 yards on 38 carries with three touchdowns and Tulsa pulled away in the fourth quarter to defeat the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns in an offensive shootout, 66-42, on Saturday at H.A. Chapman Stadium.
Chad President completed 14 of 20 passes for 243 yards and a touchdown as Tulsa (1-1) recorded 667 yards of total offense, including 424 on the ground. Justin Hobbs caught five passes for 103 yards to the Golden Hurricane, who outscored Louisiana (1-1) 21-7 in the fourth quarter to pull away from a 45-35 lead.
"We've missed too many tackles and had too many breakdowns after two games," head coach Mark Hudspeth said.
