COLLEGE STATION, Texas – Tristan Whitehall captured his second individual title in the men's shot put while Jasmin Fuselier and Taylor Walker each recorded top-5 performances in the women's triple jump to lead the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns track and field team at the Aggie Team Invitational on Friday in the Gilliam Indoor Stadium.
Louisiana finished sixth overall in the men's competition with 42 points with the women's team finishing eighth with 30 points. UT Arlington (123.5) claimed the men's title with Sam Houston State (141) claiming the women's 14-team field.
"We really competed well in the limited number of events we entered for the meet, but after our first week back of full practice, we really looked tired and the results showed a bit," head coach Lon Badeaux said.
