Track and Field: Hughes' Personal-Best Leads Cajuns At Texas Relays

AUSTIN, Texas – recorded a personal-best time in the men's 110-meter hurdles and earned a seventh-place finish in the high jump to lead the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns track and field team during the second day of the 89th NIKE Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays on Friday at Mike A. Myers Stadium.

The final day of action begins Saturday with scheduled to compete in the women's pole vault for the Ragin' Cajuns at noon.

Hughes, who posted a career-best mark 14.56 at last week's Louisiana Classics, finished 12th overall after posting a time of 14.36. Beyer, who debuted last month with a jump of 6-11, cleared the bar at 6-7 to finish seventh overall in the Section B final.
