LAFAYETTE – The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns track and field team begins its final trek leading into next month's Sun Belt Conference Championships when it travels to Hammond to compete in the Southeastern Lion Invitational at the SLU Track Complex.
Action began Friday afternoon with the men's and women's hammer throw. The meet then moves to the Southeastern Track Complex on Saturday with the field events starting at 10:30 a.m. and the running events beginning at 1:30 p.m.
Louisiana joins host SLU in the meet which also includes ULM, Lamar, McNeese State, New Orleans, Nicholls State, Northwestern State, Dillard, Loyola, Tulane, West Alabama and Xavier.
