HOUSTON, TX — Tickets for the 18th annual Shriners Hospitals for Children College Classic, which will be held from March 2-4, 2018, are now on sale at Astros.com. The three-day, six-team, nine-game tournament, which is held at Minute Maid Park every spring, will feature three programs from local universities, including Houston, Sam Houston State and Louisiana, and three from the SEC, in Mississippi State, Vanderbilt and Kentucky. All nine games over the weekend will pit a local university against an SEC opponent.
The 2018 field is a strong lineup, as it featured five teams that finished ranked in the top 25 in the USA Today Coaches final 2017 poll, including Kentucky (#10), Mississippi State (#12), Vanderbilt (#16), Sam Houston State (#19) and Houston (#24).
