LAFAYETTE – Following a 3-1 week which included an extra-innings win over McNeese State and a road Sun Belt series victory at UT Arlington, the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns softball team remained in the Top 5 of both national polls which were released on Tuesday.
The Ragin' Cajuns (22-2, 4-1 Sun Belt) held on to the No. 5 spot in the USA Today/NFCA Top 25 poll for the third straight week. Louisiana took hold of the spot back on March 8.
For the fourth straight week, the Ragin' Cajuns claimed the No. 5 billing in the ESPN.com/USA Softball Top 25 ranking, and also garnered a first-place vote.
