Foley, Ala. – The fifth-seeded Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns soccer team was eliminated from the Sun Belt Conference tournament by fourth-seeded Appalachian State, 3-0 on Wednesday at the Foley Sports Tourism Complex.
Louisiana (8-9-2, 4-4-2 SBC) held Appalachian State (10-7-2, 4-4-2 SBC) scoreless in the first half, but the Mountaineers used three second half goals to pull away from the Ragin' Cajuns.
Appalachian State scored in the 58th minute on a goal by Jackie Nieradka from 20 yards out off an assist by Jane Cline.
Erin Settle scored her seventh goal of the season for the Mountaineers in the 66th minute off an assist by Nieradka.
