FOLEY, Ala. – Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns senior forward Yazmin Montoya was named to the 2016 Sun Belt Women's Soccer All-Conference First Team in a vote by the league's head coaches and released by the conference office on Tuesday.
Montoya, who earned first-team All-SBC honors as a freshman in 2013, finished second overall for Louisiana (8-8-2, 4-4-2 SBC) in goals (5), assists (4) and points (14). During the 2016 season, the West Covina, Calif., native finished eighth in the league in goals scored and was tied for sixth in assists.
She scored a season-high two goals and added an assist in a shutout victory over Alcorn State on Aug.
