Seniors spark UL-Lafayette women over Georgia State

LAFAYETTE — After solid shooting from a foe pushed the Ragin’ Cajuns into a rough spot, some senior solidarity kept the Louisiana-Lafayette women’s basketball team in good shape.

Moments after a trio of Cajuns seniors combined for 45 points in a 65-60 win over Georgia State on Thursday night at the Cajundome, Cajun coach Garry Brodhead was emotional about their impact on each other.

“They know how to fight and battle and they have so much heart,” Brodhead said.

That included a career-high 13 points by Adrienne Prejean, 12 points from Brooklyn Arceneaux and a game-high 20 courtesy of Keke Veal.
