Ragin’ Cajuns surge past Texas-Arlington 90-75 for their sixth straight win

LAFAYETTE — For the sixth straight game, the Louisiana-Lafayette men were the better team than their opponent by a wide margin.

The Ragin’ Cajuns pushed their winning streak to six games with a 90-75 win against Texas-Arlington on Saturday afternoon in the Cajundome.

The Cajuns’ Shawn Long had 22 points and 15 rebounds to lead in both categories. Bryce Washington added 16 points for the Cajuns. Erick Neal paced UTA with 20.

The Cajuns (11-8, 7-3 Sun Belt) started to take control midway through the second half, when Jay Wright capped a 10-2 run by knocking down a 3-pointer with UT-Arlington’s Drew Charles draped all over him.
