LAFAYETTE – 21st-ranked Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns Softball captured a 2-1 walk-off win over Georgia State on Thursday to advance in the winner's bracket of the Sun Belt Softball Tournament at Lamson Park.
Louisiana (37-13) snapped a 1-all tie after and ignited a two-out rally in the seventh inning with back-to-back singles. Martinez scored on the very next play when the Panthers (31-23) attempted a force out at second, but Gremillion slid into the bag before the throw to keep the inning alive.
It was the fourth walk-off win of the season and 13th come-from-behind win for the Ragin' Cajuns.
