LAFAYETTE — The University of Louisiana at Lafayette men’s basketball team finished last week’s two-game road swing in Texas 0-2, with the two losses coming by a combined five points.
That slim margin of defeat easily could have swung the opposite way in both games if the Cajuns had connected on their free throws.
They made only 58.6 percent (17-of-29) of their attempts from the charity stripe in a one-point overtime loss against UT-Arlington, including an 11-for-21 mark in regulation.
They followed that up with a 56.7 percent (17-of-30) effort in a four-point loss to Texas State.
