LAFAYETTE -- The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns men's tennis team earned a pair of victories over visiting Xavier (La.), sweeping by finals of 7-0 and 4-0 Monday at the Cajun Tennis Courts.
The Cajuns improved to 2-1 this season with the wins.
In the first doubles match, Will Huyton and Arthur Libaud defeated Xavier's Karan Salwan and Tushar Mandlekar, 6-4. The second doubles pairing of Eric Perez and Edgar Lopez prevailed, 6-2 against Kevin Chaouat and Adam Albrecht.
Leading 1-0, Lbaud (6-3, 5-7, 10-3 tiebreaker), Edgar Lopez (7-5, 6-1), Coleman Wahlborg (6-2, 6-3), Vlad Kamarov (7-5, 10-3) and Perez (6-3, 6-1) swept the 1-through-5 singles matches.
