LAFAYETTE – The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns men's basketball team held its annual award dinner on April 5 at City Club River Ranch as the players, coaches and fans celebrated the Ragin' Cajuns third 20-win season in the past four years.
Senior guard Jay Wright was named the MVP Award that was presented by University President Dr. Joseph Savoie. Wright, who was named the Sun Belt Conference Defensive Player of the Year and to the Lefty Driesell Defensive All-America Team, was also the recipient of the Ragin' Cajuns Offensive and Defensive Player of the Year awards.
