LAFAYETTE – Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns men's basketball coach announced on Friday that assistant coach is leaving the program to assist in running a family business in his native Kentucky.
Hauser, a native of Barbourville, Ky., spent three seasons with the Cajuns after stints at Wofford, Coastal Carolina, ULM, New Mexico State and Louisville. During Hauser's 13 years at the Division I level, he was a part of nine postseason appearances (four NCAA Tournaments, two NIT appearances, two CIT appearances and one CBI appearance) and has an overall record as an assistant of 266-166.
"We appreciate the contributions that Gus has made to our program for the last three years," Marlin said.
