LAFAYETTE – Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns men's basketball coach Bob Marlin announced on Tuesday that former University of Southern California guard Malik Marquetti has transferred to play for the Ragin' Cajuns beginning in the 2017-18 season.
Marquetti, a native of Compton, Calif., will sit out the 2016-17 season to observe the NCAA Transfer Rule before having two seasons of eligibility remaining. The 6-foot-6 guard appeared in 59 games in two seasons at USC, where he was named a team captain for the Trojans' 2015-16 squad that reached the NCAA Tournament.
As a sophomore, Marquetti appeared in 27 games where he averaged 2.
