NEW ORLEANS – After averaging 25.5 points in a pair of games during last week's Sun Belt Conference Men's Basketball Tournament, Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns guard Jay Wright was named to the All-Tournament team on Sunday.
Wright, a senior from Rincon, Ga., scored 24 points for Louisiana in a first round win over Little Rock before scoring 27 points with four steals in a quarterfinal loss to Georgia State. Wright was joined on the all-tournament team by Texas State's Kavin Gilder-Tilbury and Immanuel King, along with Jeremy Hollimon and Jordan Varnado of Troy.
Troy's Wesley Person was named the tournament's Most Outstanding Player after helping the sixth-seeded Trojans to a 59-53 win over Texas State in Sunday's championship game.
