Louisiana’s Comeback Falls Short Against Tulane, 9-6

LAFAYETTE - Trailing 8-0 after two innings, Louisiana mounted a comeback effort in the middle innings to cut the lead to 8-6 before ultimately falling to Tulane, 9-6, at M.L. 'Tigue' Moore Field at Russo Park on Thursday night.

Tulane got to the Ragin' Cajuns quickly in the first two innings, tagging Brock Batty for five runs in the first frame and three runs in the second. Batty fell to 0-1 on the season with the loss.

Louisiana's fight and resilience showed in the middle innings, dropping five runs in the fourth frame, which was highlighted by a two-run Nick Hagedorn single and a Brennan Breaux RBI double that snuck in down the right-field line.
