LAFAYETTE – Aleah Craighton homered in both games, part of a four-hit effort, and the pitching staff limited Troy to one run and six hits over 12 innings as 16th-ranked Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns Softball claimed a 3-1, 11-0 (5 inn.) doubleheader sweep on Saturday at Lamson Park.
With the sweep, the Ragin' Cajuns (28-5, 11-0 Sun Belt) extended their season-high winning streak to 11 games. At 11-0 in Sun Belt Conference play, it's the best start since opening 12-0 in the 2005 season.
Louisiana also captured the series victory from Troy, extending the school and Sun Belt Conference record of consecutive conference series won to 33 straight dating back to March 2013.
