LAFAYETTE – A non-conference schedule featuring several matchups with Power 5 programs, a conference series with Sun Belt newcomer James Madison and the Sun Belt Tournament at Lamson Park are the highlights of the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns Softball team's 2023 season schedule which was released on Tuesday (Nov. 8, 2022).
The three-time defending Sun Belt regular season and tournament champion Ragin' Cajuns (47-13, 21-3 SBC in 2022) are scheduled to face upwards to 15 to 20 games against Power 5 programs during their quest for a 24th consecutive NCAA Tournament appearance.
The challenging non-conference slate features an appearance in the prestigious TaxAct Clearwater Invitational in Clearwater, Florida, plus weekend tournaments involving LSU, Texas and Florida.
