LAFAYETTE – The tight ends are one of the most, if not the most, experienced units on the offensive side of the ball for Louisiana entering the 2022 season and are expecting a big year under associate head coach Jorge Munoz.
Three-time Preseason Mackey Award Watch List selection Johnny Lumpkin leads the group into the campaign. The Atlanta, Ga., native made 13 starts and appeared in all 14 games for the Ragin' Cajuns in 2021, recording eight catches for 141 yards and a touchdown. In his career, Lumpkin has caught 20 passes for 265 yards and two touchdowns.
