With the groundwork of scholarship offers being extended, the school’s first on-campus camp and unofficial visits ongoing, Louisiana-Lafayette’s football program continued to reap the benefits on the recruiting trail.
The Ragin’ Cajuns added a pair of commitments Friday with pledges from quarterback Kadon Harrison of Port Arthur, Texas-Memorial and safety Shawn Shamburger of Theodore, Alabama.
UL-Lafayette opened the week with its first commitment in the Class of 2017 from outside linebacker/strong safety Julius Perkins of Blinn (Texas) Junior College.
“In talking to my parents, they thought it was close to home,” said Harrison, whose father Kenny is the head coach at Memorial.
