Louisiana Golf Gets Off To Slow Start At Border Olympics

LAREDO, Texas – The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns golf team couldn't overcome a slow start on Friday as the squad finished the first day of the Border Olympics in 17th place with a two-round score of 16-over par (592) at the par 72, 7,375-yard Laredo Country Club.

Arkansas State leads the field after 36 holes with an overall score of 9-under (567). Sam Houston State's William Holcomb and Camdan DeBonis are tied for the individual lead at 8-under (136).

Tolson And Elston Play Even In Second Round

Junior Triston Elston and sophomore Jack Tolson closed out the day on a strong note posting rounds of even par in the second round.
