LAFAYETTE – In a game where it was at times tough for either team to find a basket, the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns women's basketball team came out on the short end of a three-point heartbreaker, losing to the Texas State Bobcats, 56-53, at the Cajundome on Thursday night.
The loss, snapping a three-game winning streak for the Cajuns, dropped their record to 13-12 (8-5 SBC), while Texas State won their first game against the Cajuns since Mar. 2, 2017 and it improves their record to 17-8 (10-4 SBC).
Senior Simone Fields finished with a double-double, 16 points and 11 rebounds, while senior Troi Swain added 11 points and five rebounds.
