Lineup shuffle pays dividends for Cajuns againt UT-Arlington

LAFAYETTE — Heading into last weekend’s series against UT-Arlington, Louisiana-Lafayette coach Tony Robichaux figured two things.

First, Alex Pinero was going to provide the lineup some swagger that had been missing in the previous four games, when the Cajuns combined to tally just 16 hits.

Second, once the hits started to fall, they would start falling in bunches.

He was right on both counts.

Pinero started all three games of a weekend series for the first time since late March against Little Rock, and he responded by going 6-for-12 with two RBI and two doubles.
