NEW ORLEANS, La. – Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns baseball junior left-hander Gunner Leger was named the Sun Belt Conference Pitcher of the Week after helping guide the Cajuns to a series win over Southern Miss this past weekend, the league office announced on Tuesday.
"I'm glad for Gunner to be recognized for his hard work and effort," head coach Tony Robichaux said. "We know anytime we send him out on the mound he's going to give us a chance to win. He really set a good tone for us over the weekend as we were able to pick up a series win over a good Southern Miss team.
