LAFAYETTE – Coming off a record-breaking performance against in-state rival ULM, senior infielder Hunter Kasuls has been named the Sun Belt Player of the Week, the league office announced on Monday morning.
Kasuls is the third Ragin' Cajun to garner weekly Sun Belt recognition this season, joining sophomore Hayden Cantrelle and junior Brandon Young. It is the first weekly league award of Kasuls' career.
The Richmond, Texas, native was on an absolute tear in Monroe, recording 10 hits in 15 at bats, driving in eight runs and scoring six of his own.
